What is NLP ? It stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming.
It is the most powerful type of influence
In the study of NLP, everything is created in communication.
It can be used in 2 ways :
1. To influence
2. To create change (in behavior)
It is a study of how people have created their internal reality. The study is to appreciate and understand who you are.
NLP is the owner's manual for his brain (because he is going to create it to get what he wants)
It is a study of how to co-exist between you and others as each of us has a different map (which is not the actual but an interpretation of the reality)
NLP in infuence helps you create a deep connection with other people.

Story ......
A CEO once engaged a coach to improve his business. When the coach came, the CEO saw a young man instead. He asked the young coach.. "Tell me what you know that I already know".
The lesson is ...A coach who knows what the client already know can't make a difference.
A coach helps the client see the things that they don't see.
(eg.
A coach helps the client who knows what to do but is not getting the result
On a contrary...
A consultant - is a person with specialised knowledge (teacher)
A mentor - is somebody who has done what you want to do
Creating our box
NLP is the owner's manual for his brain (because he is going to create it to get what he wants)
1. Frame work (is our box of reality)
What you want but you don't have is outside the box
2. We can dissolve the frame of the box (because we created it)
2 part brain
Quantity - Are we still alive? If yes, continue breathing, blinking etc
- Therefore, we are always looking for 2 things - belonging & safety
- Our actions will choose those which are going to be safe & familiar
(eg. in accordance to family belief)
(innately, human beings follows our parents BUT our neurons can always change
if we are willing to change)
Quality - Do I like this ?
- Identity - know who you are at all time
NLP is about having change without having to remember to be different
(it is like waking up and feel and think like a millionaire)
In a family of thieves, a child who doesn't steal feels guilty.
Survival brain
Our brain is driven by survival instinct
eg. When the group of antelope see a lion, they first freeze then only run
BEHAVIOUR
Rapport
- For men to get into rapport with women - men need to know that women need to feel safe with men. So always smile.
- People like those who are similar to them
So, mirror their action (when they cross their leg, you follow, when they drink, you start
drinking)
Don't imitate them, the intention is not to belittle them.
Gesture
When they do small hand gesture, follow (don't do the opposite)
Five Logical Levels of Change
1. System - Family system, culture
2. Identity - I am (powerful belief)
3. Belief - What you think is good
4. Capability - new skills, language
5. Behaviors - Go for good diet
6. Environment - Parent
